Prefab building naturally lends itself to building on small infill, steep-sloped, and remotely located landscapes. Method is experienced in working on challenging and remote sites, including the San Juan Islands and British Columbia. Our projects in the San Juans include Brown, Lopez, Obstruction, Orcas, and San Juan Islands. Our unique off–site prefabrication process reduces on-site work by 60 to 80 percent and total construction costs by up to 50 percent.
Island and remote construction can present specific challenges and expenses. On the front end, we can help you identify access, construction feasibility, and costs for your project. We are also familiar with accommodating local building codes, assessing modular access to island locations, using ferries and barging to deliver materials and modules, working on waterfront properties, and the logistics of island and remote site construction.
Clients can choose to work with our in–house, full–service construction company — Method Contracting — or with a local builder or general contractor under our direction. Method maintains a strong internal team of specialists and external network of experienced contractors throughout the Pacific Northwest, the United States, and Canada.
