Our in-house team, Method Architecture, is no stranger to modern mountain design. This project showcases the team's ability to create luxury homes that blend seamlessly with their natural landscape.

These homeowners initially planned to construct a traditional on-site custom home on the property. However, after the pandemic left them with less time than anticipated, they decided to fast-track the building process and opted for prefab modular construction.

The home was transported in seven modules, each weighing anywhere from 20,000 and 34,000 pounds. One by one, the caravan of trucks arrived, drawing the attention of locals who observed the crane slowly lifting and placing the mods guided by a skilled team hailing from Bozeman, MT.

After making the journey all the way from Method’s Factory in Ferndale, Washington, this stunning three-story modern home, featuring 3,200 square feet of space, four bedrooms, and four-and-a-half bathrooms, is now nestled amongst the pines in Sun Valley.

The new prefab home is situated on a hillside, with views that extend towards a nearby creek, creating a seamless connection between the indoors and out. The design features a swoon-worthy exterior cedar finish. It is pre-stained and thermally treated to resist dry rot, ensuring quality for decades to come.

A thermally modified, weathered wood deck encircles the living areas and effortlessly integrates with the site’s natural landscape. When you look upwards, a broad roof cantilevers out, providing a canopy for the living areas while also allowing for a roof deck with a sauna and hot tub to be nestled above.

With its clean lines and a neutral color palette, this lux custom home provides a serene retreat for everyday living.

Collaborating with other builders and designers enables us to foster a community that extends beyond our company. This project was a joint effort with Scott Prentice Architects and Lloyd Construction.
